It started with a breaking point.
I didn’t build ELECTROLETE in a lab or a boardroom. I built it after my body broke down. More than once. On the tennis court, under the Florida heat, I wasn’t just training, I was shutting down. By the time I ended up in a hospital bed for the second time, I realized hydration wasn’t performance… it was survival.
To me, this is personal. This wasn't a one-time failure. It kept happening. Training in the brutal Florida heat and humidity, where sweat poured like rain and muscles screamed for relief, I experienced firsthand how fragile the human body is and how quickly it can breakdown without proper hydration and electrolytes, and how powerful it can be with the right fuel.
Every session became unpredictable. What started as localized cramping would spiral into full-body cramping, which ultimately led my body to shut down. I wasn’t just competing against opponents anymore, I was fighting to keep my body from breaking down.
At my lowest, I battled rhabdomyolysis twice — a dangerous condition where muscle tissue breaks down from extreme exertion and dehydration, releasing harmful contents into the bloodstream that can lead to kidney damage or failure. If not treated immediately, it can be fatal. The first time, in the middle of a Miami summer, I spent five nights in the hospital and needed 15 bags of IV fluids, despite doing everything I thought was right, including drinking multiple electrolyte products.
That’s when the frustration turned into obsession.
I tried everything: mainstream sports drinks, hydration mixes, medical-grade solutions, salt tablets, even extreme alternatives. Anything that claimed to work. Gatorade. Powerade. Body Armor. Liquid IV. Pedialyte. Pickle juice. Salt tablets. Even soy sauce packets. Nothing worked the way a serious athlete actually needed. Most were overloaded with sugar, underdosed in electrolytes, or simply not engineered for extreme conditions. They weren’t built for athletes pushing to the edge. They were built for the average.
So I stopped looking for solutions, and decided to build one.
I became my own test subject. A biohacker in search of something that could actually keep up. Every iteration was built from experience, not theory. From failure, not assumption. What I needed didn’t exist, so I created ELECTROLETE.
ELECTROLETE isn’t just another electrolyte drink. It’s a system that solves the exact problem I experienced. Built for performance under pressure. Higher electrolyte concentrations, a clean formulation, and a structure designed for rapid absorption and real-world demands. Built for athletes who push their limits... when hydration isn’t optional, and failure isn’t either.
Because no athlete should lose a match, or their health, to something preventable.
What started as a personal necessity became a mission. Athletes deserve better than sugar-loaded formulas and underpowered hydration. They deserve something engineered for how the body actually performs, and how it fails.
That’s why I partnered with my co-founder, Melina Norberto, PA-C. Combining firsthand experience with medical insight, we built ELECTROLETE to deliver what the market was missing: hydration that actually works when it matters most.
I only wish I had ELECTROLETE when I needed it most.
Today, it’s here. For you, for athletes, for competitors, for anyone who refuses to let their body be the limiting factor. Built from experience. Designed for performance. Made for those who show up ready to push past their limits.
Go crush it with ELECTROLETE.
